<br />
Oh what a long time since I had been here, writing, a bit because I needed an internet break, and also because Internet was not terrible where we have been, Madurai, Munnar (tea plantations) and CHerai beach where we are now)...And today, let's talk a bit about food!<br />
<br />
<br />
All along our road in Southern India, the food has been a so important element of our discovery. Spicy of course, but also so different from what we are used too! Perhaps the first of all was and is still the fresh coconut, sold all along roads, for less than 30 roupies (so few), you drink that delicious water and eat the inside.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuUrXn87MMqAK_GroYpN6Uu-wMMzPAAsninFyr4U2sqC7a43eNBsuwXfOcJASRXCxzZ4jt8BJP5Iv-C2cO6ou7ZUIC38y4vn0fnqkPzmJEGF-ZSlbHPrt9jXNstzZVJe4TZEWA5eOLiuE/s1600/P1040417.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuUrXn87MMqAK_GroYpN6Uu-wMMzPAAsninFyr4U2sqC7a43eNBsuwXfOcJASRXCxzZ4jt8BJP5Iv-C2cO6ou7ZUIC38y4vn0fnqkPzmJEGF-ZSlbHPrt9jXNstzZVJe4TZEWA5eOLiuE/s640/P1040417.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
Even when you ask for non spicy, beware! Indian food includes CHILLY:). At the end, we are used to (a bit).<br />

<br />
Thali: one of the Kerala's speciality, one of the daily meals of Kerala people: one papadum (little crepe of rice and lentils) , white round rice along with vegetable sauces, some with bananas, some with ananas, and many others, a bit of chutney and a little soup (Sambar). Thali is presented on a banana leaf that has to be folded not towards you (that could be interpreted as an insult) but towards your opposite.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAt12bKVWq2hyphenhyphenGznUJbwqOhG8wnUF2tJv0X8YO2EYYzRpXdxG_gDrXgKjgbkC-dE_kOPhEj5dOqsoyRMh8f_b113vy7-5DoaRWsK91BuiK6g1DkR1xW6bQyrmgtAzlvGeWrv7icbDg7po/s1600/P1040610.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAt12bKVWq2hyphenhyphenGznUJbwqOhG8wnUF2tJv0X8YO2EYYzRpXdxG_gDrXgKjgbkC-dE_kOPhEj5dOqsoyRMh8f_b113vy7-5DoaRWsK91BuiK6g1DkR1xW6bQyrmgtAzlvGeWrv7icbDg7po/s640/P1040610.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
A very large number of rice pancakes are indian or kerala meals: Dosa (on the above picture, a the left bottom corner) is a big and thin crepe that can be eated plain, or with coconut, spinach, egg...), appam (fermented rice pancake) eated generally in the morning with masala sauce or chick pea sauce, idli (little rice cake steamed) and utthapam (here with tomato, on the above picture)... There are for sure other rice pancakes in India and I think we will miss this diversity coming back to France!<br />

<br />
And, of course, curries, so plenty of them (aloo:potaoes, gobi: coliflower...), tomatofry, chapatis, naans, and parottas! But also a lot to drink, from chaï tea that my little ones love and fresh juices (pineapple, orange, mango or watermelon among our favorite). We have not been starving, for sure, and even, the gui (butter) or coconut fat kitchen was not really light!<br />

<br />
Perhaps more than telling the whole story, some sort of day chronicles appear to be my favorite way of writing feelings and details of our experience and how we move around the time in this crazy and charming country.<br />
This week, it was a day, in Kodaikanal, a climatic city from the time of the English "occupation", such a romatntic place at 2000 asl. It was one day just different from the others as everyday, it says, full of surprise and so many things to learn. <br />

<br />
Woke up a t 5:30, because of the 50's member family who is already ready to begin the celebration of prayer's day they came to organize (a Christian one)... But how to be sad in front of their smiles? Just perhaps a bit suprised as they want to get into our room to take some pictures of the kids...<br />
<br />

<br />
They sing, they pray, with a loud sound system (as always for us it is soooooloud!). We play and draw a bit and meet the children, then the parents come and take some picture of us (ten or twelve times...) and go for a prayers'meeting, which is going to go for 4 hours...<br />
<br />

<br />
This morning, the water pipe is broken, so we do not really wash. All is adaptation here, we take it as it comes... In the middle of the morning we walk to the lake, 15 minutes walking from our room, and on the road, we eat some bread omelette, sweet corn and little samosa. When they say it is not spicy, well it is jut very strong for us. Generally, I ask for "no massala", as my little ones are a bit fed up now with hot spices...<br />

<br />
Here we are, on the vintage pedalo, from the English period, which add a charming harmony to the site. We watch the ducks, cormorans and other birds of the wet zones around. Our great activity is to make bubbles on the water.<br />

<br />
A little pic-nic at the local Bryant Park (we need to pay to get in, but it is the only quiet place in town, where there is no cars - and they are driving so close to people walking, so that's nice). A nice shadowed place, but as soon as we arrive, a lot of families come to see us and ask if they can take a picture with them. After 15 families or so, we are a littel fed up beeing taken in photo!!!<br />

<br />
<br />
Then it is nap time for lili, we head back to the hostel. For issa and louise, it is time to work a little bit. But what can be the concentration when so many people are around?<br />

<br />
<br />
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
I could not imagine
that the life in India would be so different in feelings, both inside and
outside. Ithas been a whirlwind since we arrived. Not one sense of our body is
sleeping. Taste, smells, noise, touching, seeing… even the consciouness is
completely full of consideration, step forward on our proper life. India is
such a travel. Not a little one, but one very far on the way of being someone,
being a family. I still can not say if I adore or I hate, it is just both. </div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
As a family, many
changes have occur, the one I was expecting, like more time with the little
ones, and with Louise, more complicity, more time to speak and exchange, to
share, to build a solid nest. But also many changes that I really did not
expect, or even did not imagine when preparing this trip. </div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Creativity has
perhaps been the most visible, as we have many hours in the homestays, with so
few toys, the three kids have developped their imagination like crazy, creating
games and finding so much pleasure to draw, paint and imagine. Lili has been
imitating Issa a lot of course, playing with him and becoming such a strong
little person. Perhaps also, another change that came along with our travel is
the need for nature connection and time outside to play. And somehow this is a
bit lacking here, exept for the little walk in nature that we do everyday, but
freedom in natural spaces are really limited here and we can feel it like a frustration.</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
For the moment, for
issa and Louise it has been dificult to find motivation and good time to work
on their scholar projects. Issa is writing one sentence a day in a special
notebook, but never on his own for the moment. Louise finds it hard to be
concentrated, and I can easily accept that here… anyway she will be back in
September in the 2nd year of high school.</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
I'm sure that among
this limited school work here, they are finding now ways of thinking
differently, a different consciousness of the world, its logic and the
diversity of people and culture. So I'm not worried about how fullfilled will
be the notebook at the end of the trip. Their heads may contain something else
for the rest of their lifes!</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">

<br />
<br />
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
minuscules). </div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">

little town, discovering the jungle around (a little bit) and the colors and
life inside. Every little moment is full with noise, colors, smells, tastes.
The town is surrounded by the jungle, where live the tiger and wild elephants,
monkeys and so many birds. We eat chocolate (I was thinking that I would miss
so much chocolate), but here, they make a lot with coconut butter, delicious!</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
We eat a lot of
Parathas and Dosa (crepe with rice and lentil flour), with Masala curry, or
coconut sauces. Family restaurants are cheap are so yummy. We also eat a lot of
fruits (Pineaples, mangos, little bananas, papayes, watermelon).</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Kindness of the
people is everywhere, something we are going to miss when back home, for sure.
But litter and noise are sometimes too much. In the morning loud noise begins
here at 5, and nothing is to say that we wake up very early with the kids...
and if we see the good side of this matter of fact, we have plenty of time in
the morning and I could began my morning yoga routine of the roof of our guest
house.</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
We might leave this
town in one week, in order to go to a higher place, where it would be easier to
simply walk, and feeling close to nature. In fact, walking here around in the
jungle is forbidden for children and also for people walking by their own, because
of the wild animals. It is only allowed with official guides for trekking of
safaris, not exactly for us everyday. We slowly realize that Indian do not go
for walks in the jungle just for fun or watching animals.</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Also the next place
will certainly be more adapted to our project of filming ayurvedic plant
harvesters. </div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Finding a good place
is not that easy, in order to live a simple life in a moving country so
different from our habits in France. But that's also part of our adventure,
finding what is essential for our family, our life together as the essential
part of our nest.</div>

<br />
<br />
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
commercial….</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
As we were tired by the heat of the Malabar coast, we decided to move to the mountains a bit earlier than we could have thought. We took a train during 3 hours and then a bus during four hours to get to the little city of Kumily, near the Tamil Nadu state and Perryar National Park. This trip was really something for us. The train was very nice, going through the Backwaters, but the bus was really a hard experience, going on a really_not-straight road so fast that we had to hold the seats not to fall. Thanksfully we had seats (it was not everybody's chance). After this difficult but cheap experience, we arrived in this little town, fresh and we could feel cooler. People are really welcoming, even if the place is touristic, we could also go to places were tourists generally do not visit, and feel the generosity and interest of families for us. Lili, of course, is encountering a great success, a lot of people want to take a picture of her, to kiss her and to hold her in their arms.</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
This little town is inhabited by monkeys, grey ones and black ones, they are trying to still fruits and foods, they cross the roads and tear electoral posters...</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
We found a cheaper place to stay today, and we might stay there during 2 or 3 weeks, as we can cook by ourselves and walk in the countryside (or something approaching, with many houses) around and discover views and people. We might go into the park also (it is closed with a fence around, with one single entry, some kilometers from the city) and visit gardens and tea plantations, spice farms and ayurvedic medecine cultivation. </div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
For the moment we just try to take it very slow, let the children explore their new schedule (nothing imposed), and try to live twenty-four hours together (that's not obvious to find a good equilibrium). The rhythm will come, for sure, and we will find pockets of time for each of us to write, work, draw and so and so. For the moment it is a bit messy, but it will come, we just have to be patient...</div>
</div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This week Louise turned 15 and Issa turned 7. For Louise, we had an elephant ride, and for Issa, we went on Golden
Island with a little boat, where there was a temple to pray and
meditate. And both loved it so much!<br />
<br />
Big gap, big ages, big changes for them too. This new environment goes along with frustrations, differences, things missing, noisy nights and spicy food to say the less. But I love to see how each of them adapts and grows beyond its limits. Fear of spiders or frustations regarding to the toys that stayed at home, every child has to adapt to this new life. Sometimes it is hard, it takes time, sometimes we find solutions together, all 5 to help one of us. That is for me also the strenght of this traveling trip. I love also the way they learn with differences, new world and new environment, birds, crabs or just looking at and meeting people. But acutally, we are just in the middle of the road between unschooling and school at home, as for the moment they have no motivation for the school work they are supposed to do. I just need to trust them in their natural learning, their creativity and the experience their find in this travel. And with time, I'm sure they'll find their way.<br />

<br />
<br />
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
First week so hot
here, a little hard to adapt to this new environment, so noisy, hot, and wet.
We are in the south cliff of Varkala in the very south of India. We rent 3
rooms in a little house near the cliff, and the music is loud during days and
nights as we are close to the temple and there is actually of big festival
going on. </div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Our suitcases
arrived some days after us, and that was not so bad not to transport them from
Bombay, in the buses, taxis and plane again. Of course, we did take too much
stuff. And it is not so easy to think of further transportation with<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>3 kids and such a heat. But we'll see!</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Horn sound of taxis,
music and our ears are full, day as nights. Colors are so bright, blue and pink
on the houses, lights everywhere on the temple, people dancing… all is so
intense for our feelings and emotions…</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Perhaps we began ta
adapt to this new environment as we went to little grocery shops and
supermarkets, fruits sellers and ate so much of delicious mango,
coconut…bananas and tried also to cook by ourselves.</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
Clearly the view is
stunning and people are so welcoming, we feel good. Only little lili suffers
from allergy (to ananas<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>? Or maybe
pesticides ?) she has red buttons in th head and the neck… along with mosquito
bites.</div>
<div style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt; margin: 0in;">
In one week or too
we may moove to higher places to find a little fresh air and other landscapes…</div>
</div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
Last really steps to pack everything, clean up a little bit the house and say goodbye to the friends and the house. I am now so impatient to be there, as the trip is going to be a bit long, waiting, in the plane, befoer and after, and with kids, it is not th best part of the adventure.<br />
But there, as we are going far away, we will try to find humility, peace and relief. Frome the culture, from the people, from the exchanges and from the little things. It is going to be a big change, for us, for the kids, and the adults, we need to take it slow, and take car of the emotional part of the adventure too.<br />
I would say that 4 months were needed to go deeper into our connection as a family group, as an heterogeneous group of adults and child between 3 and nearly 15 (in one week, Louise will be 15 there, in Inda!!!). We all need to listen, to take care and to find our proper rhythm as a family too. That is also the big part of the adventure.<br />
<br />
Ok, then, let's go, tomorow we will sleep in Mumbay, I hope I will be able to write in this blog as soon as possible... see you there! <br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is my little pharmacy to India. Perhaps just to reassure me, because I'm sur I will find all the necessary items there, in the ayurvedic country. But just in case our occidental bodies would not like so much Indian water and Indian food, I needed to pack little creams and potions. As we do prepare this trip in a soft way, we will not carry as much as my nurse friends would have told me. No antibiotics and no strong malaria treatment, no vaccinations. Well, it's a choice, it is our choice. We prefer to prevent by other ways.<br />
Some homeopatic Ledum palustre granules and mosquitos repulsive spray will do, along with mosquito net for everyone. Solar cream, calendula cream and arnica cream for the skin care. My favorite essential oils will also travel with me: lavender, tea-tree, ravintsara and thyme. For the stomach, active coal, grapefruit pip extract, probiotics and some stronger products too (the ones we never use here, but just in case it becomes really serious for the little ones). Some rescue remedy for the traveling sickness of Louise and some homeopatic liquid for eyes irritation.<br />
I think we're good with that. I won't take some antibiotics because I won't know how to use them, as I never (or so few times) used them for my family. In such a case, we will go to a local doctor and discover the ayurveic medecine, which is so holistic and has a long story. It focuses on how the body should be well balanced more than trying to hide the symptoms of a ill body. And I like it already so much. Our project is also to study the harvesting of wild plants used in the ayurvedic medecine, so we will be in the Indian medical surroundings...<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZuzg9Avwo0lpNLfzrQxvxB6BM7ryqEU6XHxmk6MX5MwFCj5Wt08q6iB_0CZ_8AK2RX8XaLmAHGyafNSwNVM8dxzf9icV4d3y1Xq1cIhaPY0R6Dv0ZwjNRJGVmzcZzL3Fu3yNMnkbS54E/s1600/P1020015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZuzg9Avwo0lpNLfzrQxvxB6BM7ryqEU6XHxmk6MX5MwFCj5Wt08q6iB_0CZ_8AK2RX8XaLmAHGyafNSwNVM8dxzf9icV4d3y1Xq1cIhaPY0R6Dv0ZwjNRJGVmzcZzL3Fu3yNMnkbS54E/s640/P1020015.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrdWHm0qYAIjW24c8J868qLDFZjNJ3K8iICSqO1opI-LH7b9UHH0Iy5H0IhhRprnGmN088AdQDEbIK68P1AWbz71PPZU_XIN6-IkZslhI4GsTh2WJzCir2stJEnZTAhk6jHsMqymDZxJ0/s1600/P1020023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrdWHm0qYAIjW24c8J868qLDFZjNJ3K8iICSqO1opI-LH7b9UHH0Iy5H0IhhRprnGmN088AdQDEbIK68P1AWbz71PPZU_XIN6-IkZslhI4GsTh2WJzCir2stJEnZTAhk6jHsMqymDZxJ0/s640/P1020023.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Those days are full with packing organization. What to put in our suitcases, backpacks for 4 months. Never done that. Perhaps less than for one month in fact, because we will buy some stuff there, trying to live like them, and to adapt to their way of life. So it means few clothes, and reduced goods.<br />
<br />
But still is needed what to play with for long waiting hours, long plane trip and long too-hot hours of the days. Some notebooks, some painting, some pencils. One or two Montessori apps and audiobooks could complete the bag, with a tiny camera and no computer for me. I want to travel light... even if I do think of one project or two for knitting perhaps? Oh do you have good ideas to share on packing for long way trip?<br />
<br />

<br />
Mais là, juste <i>In Real Life</i>, comment dire, je ne me suis pas mis la pression.
<br />
Oh the house is not really tydied up, beds are not in order, and I did not have a lot of ideas and time to make her birthday's decoration. But some balloons and pink candles where on the top of her list, I thinks so. After 10 days alone with the kids (daddy's in Africa for 2 weeks), I could not do so much more, as I wanted to make with my hands her present and I had the idea to make her a bed for her dolls.<br />
I found an old piece of wood, and sawed it, sand it, nailed it and painted it in that old pink I had in mind. I sewed a cushion (filled with wool) and a little quilt, with remnants from plant dyed fabrics I made last year. And that was done, as simple as that, because I had only 2 hours to make the whole thing done...<br />
We celebrate her birthday just her and her brother and sister and that was just perfect, far from histerical fiestas that I do not like so much. We danced a little bit and her daddy called just at the good moment to say happy birthday from Senegal.<br />
This little fairy is changing so much these day, interacting more with people, asking "but why" and listening carefully for the answers, playing roles and making jokes, dancing and being so alive. Oh lili we have a such chance to have you with us...<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
What a month it was, full of internet bugs and so quick also. One month already flew by here, and I can only now come back to this beloved space.<br />
The countdown has begun, friends! In 38 days we will be landing in Kerala, South India, all 5 of us, to live there during 4 months. As an adventure it can be, it is for us a wish for a simple life, all together, just for slow down and breathe as a family. You would say "but why so far, you could easily breathe a slow down in your mountains?". In fact, not so easily. Work, school, high school, are demanding so much time here and being here it is so difficult to escape those habits. So we needed to get that far to found ourselves as a family, and find our proper rythm (if ever we find it!!!!), or just simply have a pause.<br />
It is possible because my boss accepted that I quit my job for some months, because my husband is an independant worker and can organize to travel easily (and to prepare a film making there, in Kerala). Is was possible because it was the last year for Louise to come with us in such an adventure, regarding to high school.<br />
Then we embark in a much beloved project of homeschooling our little ones, discovering a new country and culture, being all together so much time. And that is just a treasure.<br />
I know that this adventure will make a different family of our 5 people and each of us will be changed too. I will treasure all those changes and discoveries about me and my beloved ones, for sure. <br />
As we could say, the train is ready, we will get in, with joy and craziness, too :)<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
That's OK I'm back, with joy and happiness. Those two last weeks were so full, of holidays, of family (25 people at home during 2 weeks...), of babies (little nephews), of celebrations, even a wedding, of picnics, of music, of dance, and of a so warm weather here (around 17°C every day), that it was just amazing. The computer time was indeed really reduced, an the last portraits of the year, completely missing, I must admit.<br />
<br />
Then those holidays made their way to the end, and with the come back to the routine, new horizons emerged. Because I decided that I needed to work less (I'm now working half-time), and my heart is so happy with that, so is my soul. And because we decided to offer ourselves the thing we needed the most: time with our children, my heart is so full with joy. It already gave me so much peace and oxygen to think of it.<br />
<br />
Very soon I tell you more about all that.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07590405115626629594noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256950198185686125.post-62500795302518679692015-12-13T22:29:00.002+01:002015-12-13T22:30:11.424+01:0050/52<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
That was a so full week and a so flu week-end, with choir concerts, swimming pool and so much work to be done. One more week and I will say that I will work less, only a half-time at work, and be more with them, with my little and big ones, and I really need it.<br />
Today, while coming back from the swimming pool, I had the chance to find a last day seller of Christmas tree, with a birch socle and I was so happy for issa, who has been asking for one since many many weeks. I directly put all the decorations on it, with calm and application, and only for that perhaps I did not regret at all.<br />
<br />
Thanks for all your kind words and forces that you sent me for the opening of t<a href="http://couleursauge.bigcartel.com/">his little shop of mine</a>, I did even not had time to put a link here. To thank you, I give you a reduction code, for 15% off all items, until Christmas: HOLIDAY15... merry making to all of you :)<br />
Have a beautiful beginning of the week!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

A little portrait this week, a bit late, only with lili (issa is becoming less open to pictures, so I do not take as many photos as before...), and also a portrait to announce the opening today of my little online store.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Inside you will find hand sewn single pieces, hand dyed with plants, made with love (a lot of love) and a bit of the mountain spirit, local wool and vintage linen, plus box tree buttons.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
A little clic on the above image and I hope you will find in this fleeting shop all the slow process and softness I enjoyed so much while making...</div>

<br />
For many months, I have been loving nothing more than the time in my studio, sewing, or in the mountains, collecting plants and making colors with them. Nothing more than finding vintage and French linen, local wool and wood to make so buttons. Then nothing more than taking pictures of this tiny collection I made. Soon, yes soon, I will show you that and you will tell me if you like it!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07590405115626629594noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256950198185686125.post-69467295925613699242015-11-14T21:19:00.001+01:002015-11-14T21:19:41.239+01:0046/52<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This week was hot and sunny, but here in the mountains, it is November now. And morning are cold and every little rain becomes snow. Before the famous col du Tourmalet becomes a ski run, we crossed the col and saw the first snow, and the llamas coming down the mountains to their farm in the bottom of the valley. That was just amazing.<br />

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07590405115626629594noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256950198185686125.post-61771266789343881382015-11-01T13:52:00.000+01:002015-11-01T13:52:01.111+01:0044/52<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
A beautiful autumn days of last week, in the garden, with the three of them, trying to make some blue.<br />
Each of my children has made the experiment of this green becoming blue in some minutes. they all create single napkins with old ones from the family. Their treasures. And I made a little more of natural dyeing on vintage linen... more to come soon!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07590405115626629594noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8256950198185686125.post-10751107092484940292015-10-25T14:08:00.001+01:002015-10-25T14:08:27.063+01:0043/52<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This week of holidays and adventure was so good with my little ones, hiking in the mountains, surrounding our home, around the famous <a href="http://www.picdumidi.com/">Pic du Midi</a>, we spent so many hours walking, climbing, discovering and watching at mother nature and her little details, butterflies, colors and mushrooms. This season in the mountain is very special, it can be very hot and it is certainly most of the time so dry and shinny.<br />
We enjoyed so much the baths in the river (oh not me, OK) and the naps in the sun, as a wonderful week of holidays at home allowed us to spend. It was just a very simple week, and at the time a wonderful week, spending as much a possible time outside in their infinite garden. And I could see how fast they grow, how fast they learn from nature, and how good and important is our time together in that way...<br />

lili: this little person is so decided about her life, her clothes, her songs, her walks... Most of the time, I'm just watching her, and it makes me so happy.</div>
