red and orange garden :: late september

Joining Amanda/ in the garden serie!

Today the garden was all red and orange in my eyes and this beginning of autumn  is so warm... it helps with production. Perhaps the last weeks (or may it be days?) that I see it with so shinny colors.
Here in the mountains, the tomato season only begins really (and soon ends ahem!). We really need a greenhouse if we want to eat some during summer. Squash plants are everywhere, choking their neighbors. Biscotte (the red lady) helped me so much with the fight against slugs that I am so grateful now we can eat red strawberries and not half (or less) f them...
Trebons onions are close to ready, so is the arugula (second sowing of the year).
Red beets sown some weeks ago are growing well, I don't really know if the weather will allow us to harvest some, we will see and that will make our plans for next year if yes :)
